The M2 Cyclone was Buell's entry-level big twin, a 1203 cc Sportster-based V-twin in a short, upright naked chassis with the engine slung under a Showa shock. The first run was quirky and raw, with a single carburetor and Kevlar belt drive. For 1999 it gained a new frame, wider seat, cast aluminium swingarm and Thunderstorm heads.
